Palić Lake

Palić Lake is located in the north of Serbia, 8 kilometers from the city of Subotica. The lake and its surroundings is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Serbia.

North of the lake there is Subotica Sandland, famous for the cultivation of the vine. South of the lake are beautiful wheat fields.

Palić Lake is an artificial lake eolian origin. It covers an area of 4, 6 square kilometers. Has a length of about 8 250 meters and the average depth is 1, 9 meters.

Palić Lake is a protected area and has the rank of Park of Nature. Also, here is same named spa, one of the best in Serbia.

One of the biggest attractions is the Palić Zoo, which dates back to 1950. Also there are number of events, which bring together a large number of people from Serbia and abroad. Visitors can enjoy a variety of entertainment. On the lake there are two swimming areas, with organized water sports. There are also cultural facilities, Summer Stage, Hunting Museum, Backa gallery. Palić lake is rich in fish, which is ideal for fishing enthusiasts. Unavoidable attraction is Subotica, one of the most beautiful cities in Serbia.

Palić Lake is unique. Its beauty attracts attention for centuries. Once the lake was only for the elite, and today is a wonderful place for all visitors.
