Risovača cave

Risovača cave, is located on the hill at the entrance to the city Arandelovac. Risovača is one of the most famous Palaeolithic sites in Europe. Is habitat of man from the ice age, which is rare in this region. The cave is to local population was known before the beginning of archaeological research. It was discovered by accident in 1937 when they start work in the quarry.The research started in 1953 and then there were only two small entrances to the cave.

Silver Lake

Silver Lake, or "Serbian sea", is located in the east of Serbia, in Braničevski district. It is located only a few kilometers from the Great forts on the right bank of the Danube River. Silver Lake lies in a small valley of the Danube, surrounded by mountains on the west, south and north. In the south flows the river Pek, famous for gold and the reverse water flow during high water.

Zaječarska gitarijada

Zaječarska gitarijada je najstariji rok festival u Srbiji. Po ugledu na gitarijadu koja je održana 1966.godine u Beogradu, na inicijativu lokalnih bendova, organizovana je 1969. godine prva gitarijada u Zaječaru. Svake godine ovaj festival poprima sve veće razmere. Kao jedan od najznačajnijih muzičkih festivala okuplja veliki broj učesnika i posetioca iz zemlje i regiona. Značajno je i to sto se ova manifestacije udružuje sa velikim moto skupom u Zaječaru.

Zaječarska gitarijada ima veoma važan uticaj u afirmisanju i promovisanju mladih rok bendova. Za vreme gitarijade se organizuju brojni koncerti kultnih rok bendova, kako domaćih tako i stranih. Takođe, održava se i takmičenje demo bendova, a samo učešće i pobeda benda donosi sa sobom veliku medijsku podršku koja omogućava siguran razvoj muzičke karijere.

Jednina u svetu, 2014. godine Zaječarska gitarijada je dobila franšizu Vudstok, i dobila je novo ime - Gitarijada by Woodstock. Ovo samo potvrđuje činjenicu koliko ovaj festival doprinosi kulturno - turističkoj ponudi Srbije i samog grada Zaječara.

Traditional Serbian cuisine

Jurassic park of Serbia

On the east of Serbia, there is a beauty which its dimension captures the feeling of warmth and admiration - Old Mountain. Its range extends from Zajecar to the Black Sea. According to her second name - Balkan mountains, the Balkan Peninsula was named.

Palić Lake

Palić Lake is located in the north of Serbia, 8 kilometers from the city of Subotica. The lake and its surroundings is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Serbia.

North of the lake there is Subotica Sandland, famous for the cultivation of the vine. South of the lake are beautiful wheat fields.

Palić Lake is an artificial lake eolian origin. It covers an area of 4, 6 square kilometers. Has a length of about 8 250 meters and the average depth is 1, 9 meters.

Palić Lake is a protected area and has the rank of Park of Nature. Also, here is same named spa, one of the best in Serbia.

Ljubostinja monastery

Ljubostinja is one of the most beautiful and most significant monasteries in Serbia. It was built by Princess Milica, from 1388 to 1405. Ljubostinja is dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin.


Ljubostinja name comes from the Old Slavic word Ljubov-stinja, which means "place of love". This monastery is indeed a place of love. Princess gave the monastery this name in honor of her love for Prince Lazar. Prince and Princess had met exactly where this building was built.

Ljubostinja was built in the Moravian-style, authentic style typical of the period after the Nemanjić dynasty.

In Ljubostinja, after the Battle of Kosovo, women of fallen lords became nuns.
One of them was Euphemia, first Serbian poetess. She was remembered for the famous "Praise to Prince Lazar", a poem embroidered on canvas with gold letters. In Ljubostinja Princess Milica also became a nun, after her son Stefan became the ruler of Serbia.


In Ljubostinja were buried Princess Milica and poetess Jefimija. The monastery was plundered several times, most recently in the early twentieth century. Until today it is considered that in a monastery is hidden treasure, including the Crown of Princess Milica.

Wine Route Vršac

On the north eastern of Serbia is located city of Vršac. Besides being known for its beautiful architecture and rich cultural heritage, Vršac is known for something more, for its wine.

Vine-growing and wine production in Vršac has one of the longest tradition in Serbia. Wine production was developed in the time of the Dacians and Romans. The first written records of the cultivation of the vine in the area of Vršac date from 1494. The famous Turkish traveler, Evliya Çelebi wrote that the Vršac region is filled with grape vines and grapes are sweet and delicious.

Great importance to the cultivation of the vine had a wine cellar Helvetia. The wine cellar was built by a Swiss merchant Berhhard Straub in 1800. On the crest of Vršac is the vine since 1804.

Many houses in Vršac have on the facade motif of grapes. At the end of the nineteenth century, Vršac vineyards were among the largest in Hungary, and one of the largest in Europe. Today they are spread over an area of more than 1 700 hectares.

In Vršac today produces a large number of different types of wine. It is considered to be among the highest quality and most delicious wines in Serbia. In Vršac are developed the autochthonous vine species, which Vršac placed among the best wine producers in Europe.

National park Kopaonik

The queen of all queens, beautiful mountain Kopaonik, is one on the best tourist destinations in Serbia. Because of its unique beauty, Kopaonik was declared a National Park in 1981. 

The national park covers an area of ​​11 810 hectares. The park is one of the most important centers of biodiversity of endemic flora in Serbia.

Drvengrad, Serbian Hollywood

On the hill Mećavnik, in Mokra Gora, is situated Drvengrad. This is an ethno village founded on the idea of the famous Serbian film director Emir Kusturica. Drvengrad was created for the purpose of recording, "Life is a Miracle", and now has a cult status among the best destinations in Serbia.

Drvengrad was built in the unique ambience of wooden barracks and the streets that are named after famous personalities. The main street is named after Serbian Nobel prize winner Ivo Andric, and there are streets of Novak Djokovic, Ernesto Che Guevara, Diego Maradona ...
